Obsessions

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD),

It is a mental disorder characterized by recurring disturbing thoughts (obsessions) and compulsive behaviors (compulsions) to relieve these thoughts.

ObsessionIn general, they are thoughts or behaviors that constantly revolve around a person's mind and from which he cannot get rid of them.

In OCD, these obsessions are often combined with compulsive behaviors (compulsions) that seriously affect the person's daily life.

DifferencesObsessions alone may not be OCD; OCD includes obsessions as well as compulsions.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)Obsessive-compulsive disorder (ADHD) is a mental disorder characterized by recurring thoughts (obsessions) that the person cannot control, and compulsive behaviors (compulsions) that are used to cope with these thoughts. These obsessions often involve fear, guilt, or anxiety. Compulsions are repetitive behaviors (for example, constant hand washing) that the person engages in to try to get rid of these thoughts.

Symptoms of OCD:

  • Recurring obsessive thoughts
  • Compulsive and repetitive behaviors
  • Excessive cleaning, ordering, or controlling
  • Thoughts and behaviors that seriously impair functioning.

Symptoms of OCD include obsessive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Here are some other symptoms:

  1. Obsessions:
    • Recurring, unwanted thoughts, urges, or images
    • Fear of contamination or contamination
    • Excessive need for order and symmetry
  2. Compulsions:
    • Repetitive behaviors (hand washing, checking, counting)
    • Obsessively performing certain routines
    • Inability to stop despite being aware that the behaviors performed to reduce obsessions are irrational

These symptoms can seriously disrupt a person's daily life and functionality.
